Scoop: Dems' lead impeachment lawyer to run for Congress in New York
Dan Goldman, the former lead counsel for House Democrats in their first impeachment of former President Trump, is planning to jump into the crowded Democratic primary in New York’s 10th Congressional District.
He will join former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-N.Y.) and New York Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou in the hotly contested race for the redrawn and heavily Democratic district.
Goldman announced a campaign to become New York's attorney general last year but suspended his effort after incumbent Letitia James said she would run again.
