Elon Musk ends work from home for all Tesla employees

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/pretend-to-work-somewhere-else-elon-musk-reportedly-tells-tesla-staff-working-remotely-is-no-longer-an-option-11654080247?siteid=yhoof2

Get ready for a massive brain drain Tesla. Companies like Tesla are reliant on young and creative technology workers. They're looking for at least a hybrid model for work. There are so many options out there for that, Tesla is going to be a big loser here.

A good % of the people who actually invent the new things Musk pretends he knows a lot about will leave. The studies are clear, work from home options provide a competitive advantage for companies that employ them. This is the world we live in now, companies who best embrace WFH and create ways to maximize its benefits will out compete companies like Tesla that is run by a relic.

2. Just a massive ego

Elon Musk really believes that he's the brains behind their technology when in fact he probably knows very little about it. There are really smart engineers at Tesla that are the reason the company is valued so high, but Musk thinks it's his cult of personality that drives the shares higher.

Elon just told perhaps half of his best people to go look for other jobs.

No guarantees.

When you stop to think of all of the Earth shaking new things that have popped out of a garage somewhere.

I’m also hoping it is a non traditional entrepreneur who does it.

Lots of problems to be solved.

With the resources available online to young inventors, it's already happening. You've got things like cloud computing, and 3D printers making inventing so much easier. You can design and built parts on your own, you can utilize powerful cloud computing applications to analyze data. It's never been easier.

And it's an era of intense competition to get those minds at your company. Being in the office isn't for everyone. Tesla will change course on this within 6 months or they will suffer for it. Musk's massive ego is preventing him from seeing that his most valuable employees would be just as happy working for any number of other companies.

They can figure it out.

Whatever they come up with will probably mess up my lawn.

He claims he doesn't even have a home. Just sleeps in his various offices and planes around the world.
