It has been one week since the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

In response, a dark-money group from Missouri launched a "Woke Heat Map" so that fascists can "fight back" against a "woke agenda."

Twelve locations are tagged.

All of them are schools.

7. I taught at one of those schools--Grain Valley HS

Oh so long ago (75-76 school years), for a school at that time was transitioning from a rural community to a suburb of KC it was pretty liberal. New housing developments were going in and being taken by people who worked in KC and Independence. I taught American History, Psychology, and Economics. And I was the Jr. High basketball coach. The principal was awesome, he was a close friend of the Royals 2nd baseman, Frank White.

But teaching in Missouri often bites new teachers, schools are funded by local property taxes that are voted on by the residents in the schools attendance area. The one that year failed, and the 3 new teachers were laid off.

8. I've met Lindsey several times.

We're both Marshall High and MO Valley College grads. She's smart as a whip and I'm extremely disappointed that she didn't beat Icky Vicky Hartzler in 2020.

I hope she runs again someday.

11. UMKC is just 6 blocks away from my mom and where I grew up.

And old friend is a professor there.
I had neighborhood friends that went to Pembroke. It used to be an all boys prep school.

This makes me furious, not just because of the proximity of the schools to my mom but because this organization is doing this to all of these schools. I hope someone is looking into them.

And one of them was Gabby Giffords? Somebody took a gun and shot 18 people, including Gabby Giffords.
