There's a lot wrong in KY (just like any state) and the campaign needs to give the rural voters some meat and potato issues. I'm encouraged, however, that they produced an ad of this quality.

I don't disagree with your comment, and I would like to hear more as well. However, this is what Republicans have done so successfully the last two decades (probably longer). They don't win on policy, they win on playing to the emotions and fear of the average voter. This ad isn't fear mongering, but it is definitely pushing buttons and creating an emotional response that I think the Democratic party has ignored for too long.

This isn't a TV ad; it's a video to MAYBE generate some political buzz among people who are already politically engaged.

Instead of giving money to Booker, how about giving money to a Democratic candidate who's actually competitive?

I've already donated to Beto, Demings, Warnock, Flowers, and Abrams. I figure if Beshear can get voted in as governor, there's got to be some competitive baseline there; in a 50-state strategy, turning red states blue has to start somewhere.

Go back and look at McConnell vs McGrath.

Though McGrath was beaten roundly, Rand Paul is not Mitch McConnell.

...the son of a racist white supremacist pamphleteer and member of Congress, Ron Paul.

I have a pic of Ron Paul, arm-in-arm and all smiles with Don Black, the founder of Stormfront and national head of the KKK, along with his son, Derek Black.

Derek Black became "famous" when he went to college and came into the light: He found out all he believed was a lie and walked away from white supremacy.

He became more "famous" in 2019 when he said his racist family watched Tucker Carlson once, then again on replay, because they thought he made white supremacist talking points better than they did; and by "they", I mean "Stormfront."

This thread is the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. I’m so psyched for head-on challenges to the narrative.

Thanks for posting these up, JohnnyRingo.

Maybe the key is to out-do them on the drama in order to get media attention. Since clearly superior ideas don’t seem to warrant coverage.

We support Mr. Booker and feel he will bring the change Kentucky so desperately needs. Republicans have done nothing but destroy Kentucky and defame our state. I hope and pray that Mr. Booker wins and shows what Kentuckians can do to better ourselves and our nation.

Wanted him the last time too. Hubby met him at a BQ a bit ago.

He’s a fighter, and I’ll take that right now.
