No, it fucking doesn't.

The RW has honed their talking points, which are just more of the same. There's a feeble attempt at meetings to talk about it in the Senate, but I can't see any meaningful legislation coming from it, same as always.They're blaming TEACHERS, for fuck's sake.

After every single mass shooting there is a loosening of restrictions and a huge uptick in gun sales. If I didn't know any better I'd say the gun industry WANTS these mass murders because they drive up business.

What I fully expect: people will say that the mass murder of 19 kids in their classroom HAS GOT TO change things, but just like the mass murder of 20 kids in their classroom at Sandy Hook didn't change a thing other than to loosen gun restrictions, we can't expect anything different this time.

This time does not feel any different.
