Where do you fall?

Assuming 330,000,000 total population and total net worth of 50 trillion usd, the average net worth of a US citizen is just over $150,000. (numbers from wiki, may not be most current)

What side of this are you on?

With my student loans that I am repaying, my net worth is currently still negative.
My pre-school aged son has a small amount in a piggy bank.
My significant other is negative too, she is still in school.

Then the crash came and the long term unemployment. I think I'm maybe $25k to the good at this point. Soon enough I'll be in the red if things don't get better.

With the stock market recovery, that is likely higher now. But this is just an internet poll....

but under. We are improving because we are almost out of debt and both have jobs. We are aiming for an early retirement. It is a possibility for us because we both have a teacher's pensions. It is that debt free part that is the key. We are saving a down for land, a house or both. We hope to pay cash outright for that.
