How great to have a choice among so many good ones. Is there any chance Grassley will be thrown out? Hekate Jun 2022 #6

Had to choose among 3 great candidates to unseat Grassley in Iowa.

Grassley is favored to keep his seat since this is a solid Red area. We used to have Senator Harkin and Democratic Governor Vilsack and Culver. So, I hope we can get some Democrats back in office. We are going to give it our best shot.

I'll have to check on Congress. Pretty sure we lost Julia Brownley, so maybe we picked up Carbajal...

…newsletter but turned out to be nonstop really pushy demands for money. I ended up not quite knowing what she was doing in Congress, but still voted for her because she’s a Dem. Best wishes to her regardless.

I remember Salud from when he was just starting out as the assistant to one of the members of the Board of Supervisors in SB County. I worked at the County for awhile, and then was on some Commissions for years, ending up meeting quite a few people. My daughter’s significant other remembers him from when Salud was in charge of a group home for adolescent boys just after he got out of the Marines. When Lois Capps retired from Congress, he ran for her seat and won.

From his flyer it looks like he has roots in Ventura (“spent summers working in Ventura Co strawberry fields” )
