report. Check out responses on gender and partisanship and violence. More young men declaring to be Democrats approve of "assassinating politicians who are harming the country or our democracy", than young, male Republicans.

(101,294 posts)ie that Democratic politicians use immigration policy to leverage political power - they just probably think it's a Good Thing, not a cultural problem:
Fuck, it gets worse: 46% of younger Democratic men think "feminism has done more harm than good"; that's worse than older Republican men (42%)! (Amazingly, older men are actually the most pro-feminist of Republican groups. Not that this is a high bar.)

(576 posts)They're slowly watching our country getting taken over by people who only want "their" America back instead of "our" America.
Most importantly than that is that there's apparently nothing thing we can do to stop it outside of voting (or outside of the forbidden)
This is the reason why we need to be stronger and have our crap together because if we don't, if we don't they will handle it in the worst way.

(12,423 posts)But I see SOME on our side starting to see Authoritarianism as an acceptable strategy vs the Right and this poll seems to back that up.
It didn't use to be this way... SMDH.
Look at that poll... 15% of younger Democratic women were NOT SURE if they approved of killing political opponents or not.

(9,474 posts)What is your proposed solution? I mean, we can try peaceful means like a protest or a National Strike. I just don't see those being effective with a Republican Party that has no qualms about sending in the Army and using militias for political ends.

(32,673 posts)but qop republicans who are putting all Democrats, especially people of color, in harm's way. All of their talk of a civil war or a race war is making a large segment of Democrats feel unsafe and vulnerable. Democrats who are not on the chopping block (because they blend in really well with rethugs) probably aren't as concerned.

(2,403 posts)If they dont like us and prefer republicans they are the problem. SORRY, but at this point if you prefer the GOP you are rightly fucked in the head. Not sure what we would have to do to win them over.

(32,078 posts)It may not be as bad as with the males, but it's there. It's as much an age thing as it is gender. What's really disturbing the numbers of them that believe that "feminism does more harm than good." I guess it's easier to take things for granted when you never had to fight for anything. Sad to say, they're about to find out what it's like.
