the Nov elections will NOT be allowed to occur in red states if their candidate loses.

I don't understand. Are you referring to MAGA candidates losing in the primaries, and then MAGA minions will block the Nov general elections? Did I read that right?

I'd like the United Nations to monitor the election in ALL states. If we just stipulate the RED states, the Repugs will cry foul and we'll never get the election adjudicated. Besides, if they know the RED state elections will be monitored, they'll simply try to screw up the BLUE state elections and they cry hanky-panky. If all elections in all states are monitored, everything is covered and monitored and above-board. I hate to see us drop another ring to third world status, but in this regard, I don't see a way around it, especially as hard as the repugs are working to screw up election laws and voting rights.

I think it's a good idea to call Jimmy as well. Let the Carter Center monitor the primaries just as they monitored the 2020 elections. The Carter Center and the UN could cross-check one another just to be sure.

I like the idea of cross-checking one another! What's a little embarrassment to ensuring a correct result to ourselves and the world.

… because of the weight of other governments — directly when it came to things like US foreign aid, and indirectly via organizations like the WTO and World Bank — to accept the UN presence and it’s blessings or not over elections. What weight would the UN have in the United States? They’d be ignored.

We don’t even accept the obvious election fraud evidenced by skewed exit polling, once held as the sine qua non of legitimate elections, now that ‘actual votes’ skew in favor of Republicans (the infamous “red shift” we’ve been watching since the ghost voters of the GWB days).

We are a nation in deep, deep trouble.
