Not in my city would that happen. Total conflict of interest to be in both roles at the same time.

He's employeesd by the school district.
They're different political subdivisions.

His division, the "school district police", is within the police department, but it has jurisdiction over the school district. Is that not the case?

My husband is a HS principal. Districts have their own police forces.
Uvalde CISD is his employer.
You show me that he's employeed as a cop by the City of Uvalde

I had initially heard it explained that way as they were explaining the chain of command because of the different agencies present.
