The Ohio Senate race between Republican J.D. Vance and Rep. Tim Ryan (D) is in a virtual deadlock, according to a new poll.
The USA Today Network Ohio-Suffolk University survey released Wednesday found that Vance leads Ryan by just more than 2 percentage points among likely Ohio voters, well within the margin of error.
Vance received the support of 41.6 percent of voters questioned compared to Ryans 39.4 percent. Almost 17 percent of respondents remain undecided in the closely watched race to replace retiring Sen. Rob Portman (R).
Additionally, 39.8 percent of respondents had a favorable view of Ryan, compared to the 34.6 who said the same about Vance.

(5,165 posts)Ryan needs to tone down anti-Chinese rhetoric - I think he's already gotten that message.
Ryan is visually more appealing - more animated and fitter than chunky Vance.

(42,279 posts)Got a "poll" call last night asking for me specifically by name. It quickly became obvious that it was by a RW group ("would you be more or less likely to vote for Ryan if you knew he supported Biden's Build Back Better Bill that would raise inflation and allow more illegal immigration?" ) so I told them they were liars and to go to hell before slamming down the phone.
I probably won't get counted in further "polls" from them...
