In 1991, those bumperstickers were used in Louisiana to urge a vote for Edwin Edward's for governor, even though he was widely believed to be corrupt. His opponent, you see, was former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke.
Then, everyone knew who "the crook" was---and who the racist was.
In today's Republican primaries, those bumperstickers would not help at all.

duke is exactly what you might expect. a slimy "alt right" azzwhole who would fit perfectly into trump's party.
our current governor is not so flamboyant, and he is not a leader on women's issues, but there is not a hint of scandal, probably a first since the louisiana purchase. i'd like him as senator, but biden should consider him for a cabinet post, maybe homeland security or fema.
