Sen. John Cornyn denies that new gun restrictions are in the works.

Sen. John Cornyn denies that new gun restrictions are in the works. Remember, he's the one McConnell assigned to help devise a bipartisan gun control solution.

Cornyn is the Texas Republican charged by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to make the GOP case in Connecticut Democratic Senator Chris Murphy's push to put together and pass gun control legislation after two mass shootings that got international attention recently.s

I'm told @JohnCornyn is open to making gun laws more restrictive. I get emails to have the senator back on and to "go at him" on this. John is from Texas. I have interviewed him 100s of times. Until I hear him say he wants to restrict my 2nd rights, I'll refrain from judging.

Or is Cornyn saying "Not gonna happen" to going on Joe Pags Pagliarulo's show? I don't recall anyone voting for or against Joe Pags Pagliarulo, so why does he get a say in the Senate deliberations?

The Pubs will be proposing 'solutions' in the style of fortifying schools or arming teachers - not restrictions on guns. And school security suggestions - auto locking doors or other access restrictions might even be worth doing. They just aren't addressing the elephant in the room

Republicans and conservatives (read: fascist scum) are up to their same old evil tactics relating to gun violence: go through the motions of negotiating gun reform to buy time and await for the NRA's marching orders and propaganda points. They'll then pull back at the last second by hiding behind the Senate filibuster rules. Then the gun pushers will appear on Fox Noise to taunt Democrats the same way serial killers taunt law enforcement and perform the victim blaming routine.

This is a pattern and it happens every single time
