Minimize while still striving to prevent.

There's no chance now to prevent climate change as it's already happening but there's still a chance to mitigate it.

This is not a new normal. Republicans have blocked restrictions since before the beginning of time. They need to be called out on this. Make it an election talking point. That, and abortion, could help the Dems win seats they never thought of winning. I can't stand to see a mass shooting happening everyday. It sickens me that we let this slide into saying we need to learn to live with this. Bullshit!

Hope springs eternal. Sorry, but at this point, it's delusional.

NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE!

Somehow we are at a point in our society that the looniest objection by the craziest gun-toter acts as a veto on any proposal to regulate firearms. We go to incredible lengths and expense to make sure firearms and their owners are not restricted in any way. We pay the price in so many ways with so much blood.

The wealthy would be screeming for gun control.
