"SNIP.......

“The Senate’s bipartisan group considering new gun control measures met Wednesday, and our reporting indicates the talks are progressing at a somewhat quick clip,” Punchbowl News reports.

Said Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME): “We are making rapid progress toward a common sense package that could garner support from both Republicans and Democrats.”

“Rapid progress. That’s not something you hear too often during thorny and complicated legislative negotiations.”

......SNIP"

He encouraged R Senators to work with the Ds to craft something that "will overcome the filibuster," yet when it does come to a vote, the Rs will not vote for it. It won't even come close to overcoming the filibuster. That "A" rating from the NRA - and the money that flows into their campaigns - means way too much to officially risk it.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if one of the corrupt Rs called Wayne Fucking LaPierre personally and said, "Hang tight. We'll pretend to work on some gun control policies to make it look like we're doing something, but rest assured, we won't vote for it. In the meantime, enjoy the record sales of guns to people who are fooled into thinking they've got to buy now before something is banned, ha ha ha ha ha!"

To object and block everything.

None of this happens without McConnell's approval.

He's just pretending to do something because Americans are PISSED OFF!
