We don't have Active Shooter Training because they think it will scare employees who are all adults. Meanwhile, every kid in my state from Kindergarten on up has to have active shooter trainings. I work in the public sector, in a library, a place that mass shooters often target because they're big, open spaces with lots of people. It absolutely infuriates me that literal babies have to endure this but adults might be too scared to be trained. It's bullshit - 100%!

It stresses Run, Hide, and Fight. No real training other than watching the video. If someone were to get into our place, we're all in short 2-walled cubbies with no place to hide - so essentially, we'd be screwed.
