He was acquitted in a criminal case where the standard is "BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT".

In a civil case the "PREPONDERANCE OF EVIDENCE" standard (51% probability) will decide. His narrative in a lawsuit against CNN, MSNBC, NY Times etc. will be very difficult. Too much video evidence. The timeline in the trial will not be his friend.

"Reasonable people" on the jury will conclude that he committed murder. He won't go to jail, but his credibility will be taken down a notch.
