Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-PA) goes off on Republicans during gun reform hearing in the House:
"Please, God, let us stop the shame on our country. Pass these laws. Say that an 18-year-old cannot go in and slaughter our children, or Black people because they don't like Black people."

Rep. Madeleine Dean: "I will tell my friends on the other side of the aisle who stand against these commonsense measures that would save lives ... you are way behind the curve. Gun owners, Americans, by and large want these measures. I don't know what bubble you are living in."

(5,838 posts)I'm not sure they can count on sitting this out as long as people are going on killing sprees.
But then we all risk getting so used to the slaughter that it loses its power to shock.
I can't believe this is where we are.

(16,925 posts)needs to be a BILLBOARD of every single US Highway in this country!
You know how newly-elected Governors have their road crews out there making sure their name is on every sign in the state?
Screw them - put THAT sign up!
And project it onto the Capitol Building - and the NRA headquarters - and every tRump hotel in the world - and every corporation that makes 1 cent from the sell of arms, ammo, etc.
You get my point - we're NOT screaming LOUD enough!!!!! The whole NRA/RebubliQan/MAGA criminal element needs to be HIT - NOW - with weapons that need no support from profit-makers (unless you count parents of the Children of America as 'profit-makers.').
