Real Time with Bill Maher guests - Friday, June 3, 2022

Real Time with Bill Maher continues its 20th season Friday, June 3 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), with a replay at 11:30 p.m., exclusively on HBO.

This week features a one-on-one interview with former US Attorney General Eric Holder who is now Chair of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee and co-author of Our Unfinished March: The Violent Past and Imperiled Future of the Vote - A History, A Crisis, A Plan.

This week's in-studio panel discussion will include Michael Shellenberger, California gubernatorial candidate, co-founder of California Peace Coalition, and author of San Fransicko: Why Progressives Ruin Cities; and Douglas Murray, columnist for the New York Post and The Sun, and author of the New York Times bestselling book The War on the West: How to Prevail in the Age of Unreason.

I have no reason to doubt it, they had photos, but this certainly makes no sense! Rhiannon12866 Jun 2022 #4

People are dying of overdoses, "friends," or not! But I agree this was a particularly interesting show. I hadn't heard of either of the guys on the panel, but it was a big news week and an interesting discussion. And I thought New Rules was a winner, too (except for the last line).

I'm always mystified why young people use drugs like heroin. Their whole lives are ahead of them. I'm like the housekeeper in "It's a Wonderful Life" who says "Boys and girls and music. Why do they need gin?"

I understand the drug use of addictive personalities like Anthony Bourdain, George Carlin, Keith Richards and so on, and why people with horrible hopeless lives of any class or age use drugs. I don't understand why so many middle class young Americans want to use drugs.
