The prosecution got a chance to present a case against Sussman but did not meet the standard to achieve a guilty verdict.
There actually is a two tier justice system in the US, but not for Republicans and Democrats. The two tiers are, if you are Rich, you can delay and escape justice on technicalities. If you are poor, not even being innocent keeps you out of prison.
