January 6th Committee
@January6thCmte
While todays indictment of Peter Navarro was the correct decision by the Justice Department, we find the decision to reward Mark Meadows and Dan Scavino for their continued attack on the rule of law puzzling.
Mr. Meadows and Mr. Scavino unquestionably have relevant knowledge about President Trumps role in the efforts to overturn the 2020 election and the events of January 6th. We hope the Justice Department provides greater clarity on this matter.
As the Select Committee has argued in District Court, Mark Meadowss claim that he is entitled to absolute immunity is not correct or justified based on the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel Memoranda.
No one is above the law.

(9,165 posts)That Meadows wasn't being charged because he handed over all this super secret, super sensitive information to the committee, and they didn't need him anymore.
I am well looking forward to a new, gripping narrative. James Patterson's The Department. A roller coaster plot about one man's harrowing battle to place the republic in a dark room, completely out of sight, while struggling to swear that the pizzas are coming.
I'm already hungry for it.

I dont know offhand what Scavinos GOOJFC is. Maybe he has real and therefore scary attorneys.
Or possibly they didnt need two fall guys and a coin was tossed.

Its sad when people start sounding like the collection of nutters trump had on his post election legal squad.
