It was a great spectacle. And, whatever one thinks of the monarchy, QEII has certainly given her all for the cause.

as good as his performance, it only made me miss Pavarotti even more. His performances of that piece were the pinnacle imo. Sigh...

As beautiful as it was, Pavarotti’s is indeed the pinnacle, no question. I had the opportunity to hear him sing it live once & meet him briefly afterwards, something I will never forget.
