When I picture the NRA and its supporters, I see a lot of old white men and middle-aged fat white southerners who will soon be old fat white men (not sure why I see that last group as fat, but I do). These kids and millennials can take them. Or they will just die off.

This is the generation that would change things. Eventually there will be more of these folks than the NRA types. NRA influence should decrease while gun regulation supporters increase. A balance will be tipped eventually, hopefully soon.

Supermajority will be necessary, if not all but a few, just to allow the other side to have their voices be heard.
