Often such things are disclosed only because some big media outlet goes to court and demands they be released to the public. For now the list hasn't been disclosed, most likely because lawyers for people on the list have persuaded a judge to keep it confidential - so now it's up to somebody like the New York Times to persuade a judge that releasing the names is in the public interest.

...they won't release evidence in an ongoing investigation.

His is closed, but that doesn't stop them from investigating the claims of other victims and other abusers linked to him.

Question is, does Musk assume the people prosecuting Epstein and associates care about the perps less than he does? What has he actually done that is more consequential to the investigations and convictions than the Justice Dept?

Why is he deflecting from his own charges of sexual assault?

I'd guess he's anxious to see if he's among them.

It’s his book of contacts. We’re some of them pedo’s? Certainly. We’re some of them people he knew that had nothing to do with his crimes? Certainly. We’re some of them people he got contact info on but really had nothing to do with him? Certainly. I expect others in there fall into other categories I am not thinking of off the top of my head.

If it were to be released, the media would brand it (as it has already) as a ‘client list’ and ruin everyone in there.

That, IMO, would be a crime.

Cultivate donors they perceive to be wealthy, and Epstein sold the likely lie that he made money in finance, which happens all the time. So, simply being a contact, without other evidence that people on the list witnessed or engaged in wrongdoing, isn’t enough.

When this was current people were demanding the list be made public and accusing the DOJ of keeping it private to protect political people. Remember that? And now its a good thing to keep it private? What changed?

I can’t recall posting on this topic before… I may have sometime in the past… I don’t recall doing so. If I did and called for it’s release, I was wrong for the reason I’ve stated above.

Have you any comment on what I said above? I feel I’ve made it clear why it should not be released

I don't pay attention to individual posters but it is easy to observe trends. I have little sympathy for people on Epstein's list. People who associated themselves with him were not doing it for any good purpose. His reputation was known. They were adults and in many cases adults in power who know how the world works. There is a reason they are on the list. Let's find out. Probably the reason the media has ignored this is that many of their people are on the list.

It’s not like we have a problem with people believing pedos are in the basement of pizza shops and shooting them up… Let’s just make accusations without any evidence and who cares what happens… They are adults… We don’t need the rule of law, we KNOW!

Lock Them Up, Lock Them Up, Lock Them Up…

In January 2022 Maxwell gave up her fight to keep the names of 8 under seal. The judge released information previously as well. So why haven't those names been made public yet????

to lend himself legitimacy. Therefore there would be names on that list of people who never had anything to do with him who would be in danger of having their reputations destroyed.

These could simply be people who lived in the same building or did business with him completely unrelated to his illegal activities.

He would want a large circle of friends while there was only a small group involved in his sex activities.

I imagine there are some sleazy people on there but what if some innocents are on there?

Can you say everyone on the list had sex with a child? If the name is published won't everyone assume the answer is yes?

I'd want to see the proof before I released one name.

That said, the stash from Rape Island probably should go forth in some coherent manner.

I just made myself laugh, sort of. Epstein’s guards were doped and he was silenced. We won’t know the truth in our lifetimes.
