Riggleman Says He's No Longer a Republican

[Former] Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA), who worked as a technical adviser for the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, told CNN that he has left the Republican Party and that he will never run again as a Republican.

Said Riggleman: “What I’ve seen behind the scenes has pushed me further away. That the party has moved away from conservative principles to this cult of personality that Liz Cheney is talking about. She’s absolutely correct.”

Aside from perhaps Liz Cheney, there are none that are speaking out while continuing to remain in office.

And it is looking like Liz isn't going to make it past the primary, so soon she'll be a former Representative as well.

I have to believe that there are enough Democrats and Independents in Wyoming to give Liz the win over the MAGAT candidate.

If it's Not open, then I seriously doubt enough Democrats would change affiliation merely to vote for her.

The last poll I saw had her down by 30%+.

11. That's how it's been for years

It's nice that they're speaking it out but it's not very helpful that they are not in a position to DO anything anymore. Their "courage" would be more helpful if they had to speak out on the floor of Congress and/or take some difficult votes or caucus with the Democrats on some bills. Words alone are cheap.
