They *might* stop a person like Osama bin Laden from getting a gun but they will not stop a person who got his assault rifle the morning of the same day he shot and killed a bunch of people.

on the way to getting abortions ... hasn't been effective for our political opponents at all?

It feels good while you're doing it but doesn't mean anything and doesn't last.

We will never get effective laws passed until the overwhelming majority of the population wants them. OUR job is to convince them. I think starting with kids is the best first step. Kids were instrumental is changing smoking laws.
