Unlike a lot of world leaders who would have run to safety, he put his life on the line for his country. Even after Russian special forces almost got him and his family in the early days of the invasion, he didn't panic. He got ANGRY. A righteous rage that he used in his addresses to his people, and to the nations he asked for help from. He instantly became an inspiration to his troops, his citizens, and the world.

If he was a weaker man, the Russians would have overrun most of Ukraine by now, IMO.

He's rapidly becoming the 21st century equivalent of Winston Churchill.

Stalin showed some mettle when he rallied Russians to defeat the Hitler invasion. Remaining in Moscow when German troops were only a few miles outside the city was brave--and necessary.

It is a strain to think of anything good about Stalin, but here is one.

After issuing Order 270 (Fight to the Last, 16 August 1941) and Order 227 (Not One Step Back!, 28 July, 1942), abandoning Moskva would probably have been an incredibly poor idea.

He murdered almost all of the military high command during the 1930s. Only inferior officers were left and they were too petrified to do anything.

bombarding some place where the troops have been evacuated? I bet they'd fall for it once anyway. Let them waste a bunch of ordinance or whatever they send.
