It's like when Independents started indicating approval of Biden policies. Even 13% of Independents was amazing.

NOW 72% of Republicans are NOT IN LOCK STEP on the designated CRAZY position of the party.

THAT'S AMAZING.

entirely by criminalizing the scraping of cells from a women's uterus, but they are 100%cool with randomly turning ACTUAL children into chop meat with AR15s.

They are SICK SICK SICK. I seriously doubt we can turn our country away from disaster.

They believed it was ok to have mass death just so they could have their freedumb to not wear a mask or get vaccinated.

They truly do not care about the lives of their fellow Americans.

Criminals, to one extent or another, take advantage of civil liberties to commit their crimes or evade consequences.

We can reduce crime including mass shootings but I don't think we'll eliminate them.

The article said 28% of mass SHOOTINGS, not mass murder.

(Jonestown Massacre, Happy Land social club fire, Boston Marathon bombing being examples of the difference.)

It would be easier to eliminate (or, okay, come very close to eliminating) mass shootings in a free society than it would be to eliminate ALL kinds of mass murder. The first would require "only" a high degree of gun control, which you can still have in what most of us would still consider a "free society." The second would probably require Orwellian-level surveillance. Which, yes, is also already a real concern. In fact, the increased surveillance that is already happening is probably more of a threat to our "free society" than the non-existent extreme gun control (which we'll never get) could ever be. These guns that people think keep them "free" only provide an illusion of freedom in the first place.

If not, what do you call it? More violence in society causes more to arm themselves. Often against their will.

One way or another I fear we are doomed.

It's truly sickening that in this day and age when fears of being involved in a mass shooting are heightened and they continue to support and enable this shit! I am seriously starting to feel unsafe in this country and this is not the country that I grew up in. It's getting really scary out there.
