My surgery update

Little back story, 1st EN&T Doc (fairly young) who examined me was pretty sure it was a cyst and not a tumor
when he scheduled my operation with a more experienced EN&T Doctor, well it turned out to be a tumor and
all he done was take a biopsy of it. Waiting 5 to 10 days for the results to see if it's cancerous and then
decide on a course of action. They also scheduled me for a PET scan looking to see if I have cancer anywhere
else in my body. I'm getting really worried now because this hoarse voice has been going on for almost a
year until I found someone who finally diagnosed me properly. PET scan is 6/13.

Plus I'd like to thank everyone for their well wishes, thoughts, & advice.

On a lighter note, when the RN came around to check on me if I had woken up yet, she grabbed my chart
and asked "What's your full name & address?" So I gave her my name & "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue",
she gave me a puzzled look like I wasn't all there yet, then added "I'd been better than trump" to which
she giggled and stated "So would my 15 year old" Believe I was talking to a Democrat.

2. Hoping things work out ok for you,

Had a same thing happened when they found after a PET scan on me something at the base of my brain. Turned out it wasn't cancer, and hasn't grown. Hope its nothing, and is easily removed for you. Take care. When I forget something my wife told me, I sometimes use it saying must be that nodule, then we laugh . Keep us posted.

14. Just remember that your body believes every word you say, literally, to yourself or in passing

The mind/body connection is steadfast. There is a good book out with that title, "Your Body Believes Every Word You Say" by Barbara Hoberman Levine. It will really make you aware of what words you are using when you speak, and how to stop using the words and phrases that can come back and bite you, so to speak. lol Well worth the read for everyone. Especially, if in need of healing.

try to remember it may all come back benign and end up being an expensive nuisance. Fingers crossed.
