The real crime wave that hurts more citizens than petty street crime is all over the nation:
corporate gouging harms more people on a daily basis than the non-violent petty thefts, muggings etc. I am for eliminating all crime and making our city streets more safe. one seldom thinks that much of the cause of crime in city streets is caused by the over-arching crimes of gouging, monopolies, price fixing, usurious fees and embezzlements.
If we enforce the laws on the books against white collar crimes, many of the crimes in our streets will practically disappear. And this includes enforcement of strict gun laws already on the books.
