Sorry, but I voted to recall San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin

I refuse to believe that criminal justice reform has to include freezing honest-to-God crime victims to the point of refusing to return their phone calls.

But I don't see anyone calling him names. That's an attack. Chesa Boudin is a Democrat and he was elected by mostly Democrats in San Francisco. If people don't like him then let's discuss the issues instead of name calling. That's what the other side does.

original post. I do have a problem with the name calling and FWIW he is endorsed by the San Francisco Democratic Party in today's recall and is a Democrat.

translate to being soft on crime. We do our party and society no favors when the rule of law becomes meaningless. If he doesn't care to prosecute crimes, then maybe it's time for a different field of work.

And these are all very, very liberal Democrats.

It's fine as Mayor Breed appoints the replacement, I believe.

So many problems. Ideology can't get ahead of reality, and that was his problem.

Between the Hannah Tubbs case, the 16 year old who got off very light for stealing a car and running down a mother with a baby in a stroller and the fact that his office refused to oppose the release of a Manson follower for the first time ever because he refuses to oppose any paroles have made a large number of people lose faith in him.

You could look up the Hannah Tubbs case, a woman about to turn 18 admitted to sexually assaulting a 10 year old girl in a Denny's bathroom before she transitioned. Gascon had her charged as a juvenile so she would serve her time in a juvenile facility. She was 26 at the time and in a recorded jailhouse phone call to her father bragged about her light sentence and the fact that she wouldn't have to register as a sex offender since she was charged as a juvenile. Gason has a blanket policy of never charging a juvenile as an adult.

Recently he got a teenager who was on probation for spiking the drink of a girl at his high school 5 months at probation camp, a step down from juvenile detention, after he ran down a mother pushing a stroller while driving a stolen car under the influence then fleeing the scene. You should watch the video

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/los-angeles-da-gascons-office-lands-5-month-probation-camp-sentence-for-teen-who-mowed-down-mom-and-infant/ar-AAY3aDO?li=BBnb7Kz

Add to that the fact that he won't file any enhancements charges to crime, even firearms related, that he was the first Los Angeles D.A. to ever refuse to oppose the parole of a Manson follower, he is also adamant about not prosecuting low level property crimes like shoplifting and you have just some of the reasons myself and many other democrats have lost faith in him.
