Turns out Dr. Oz, Newly victorious Republican candidate for Senate from Pennsylvania,is registered to vote in New Jersey, not Pennsylvania, and has been registered there since the 1980s.

(68,552 posts)He is also some obscure sect of Muslim...which wouldn't matter for Democrats...but for Republicans, I think it matters. Personally, I would not vote for anyone who has dual citizenship for the Senate. And I am a Democrat.

(5,840 posts)The entire fucking concept of REPRESENTATION is so that you REPRESENT your state's constituents, not someone else's state's constituents. Fuck.
Who am I kidding? They represent the corporations who have bought them, not We The People.

(32,633 posts)... by using his in-law's address to prove residence. We were told that Oz voted in PA (not NJ) in 2020 but I haven't seen any proof of that. It's possible that he might have used a mailed ballot. I hope someone can find out the truth of this.
It's possible to have residences in more than one state, and it's not illegal to register to vote in different states. However Americans are only permitted to vote once per election. If Dr. Oz is voting in PA then he needs to cancel his NJ voter registration. We need to know if he's got a Pennsylvania drivers license? If yes, and if his license says he is a PA resident, then he's considered eligible to vote in PA even though he owns a home in New Jersey.
If Oz doesn't have a PA drivers license then he's trying to pull a fast one on us.
