11. Broward County schools banned BACKPACKS for the last few days of school. Books & backpacks get bans.

But military-style guns that are slaughtering children en masse... nothing.

during the last week of school, has been in place for many years, even before my kids began school and they are now in high school. I believe it originated because of senior prank week, where the kids would bring in props to prank each other and teachers during the final week of school. I am shocked that this article gives the impression that it is something new. While some schools might have not been enforcing the ban as they should, it isn't new. It was surprising to me that the ban was not implemented during this past winter break. I even called the school board and voiced my concern.
They can only do so much at the school board level.

The kids weren't there, just the teachers and admin staff. It sounded like the drills we used to do in the Navy.

it sucks that they have to go through partly because the GOP won't take obvious steps that will help.
