(8,231 posts)I wish Republicans would do that, then we wouldn't be stuff giving power to loons flirting with fascism.
And it's also a false choice to say we have to choose between criminal justice reform and public safety. We can have both. We need both.

(6,137 posts)Extraordinary incompetence that cost livelihoods. Dems working in DA office left by the dozens since he reformed the institution. I literally dont know a single progressive dem over 30 in SF who wouldnt be repulsed by him. I personally despise politicians like him. Kamala Harris was arguably the best DA in SF and a gold standard, frankly - tough as nails on criminals, trusted by community. Politicians like Budin are destroying democratic party, I hope he will have no political future, better yet sued by the victims. We dont need phonies like him, certainly nowhere near DA office.

(6,974 posts)The guy was a Marxist in theory. His parents were radicals from the 60's is what I believe my friend who lives in San Francisco told me. Good grief.
I'm liberal, but not a Marxist. He wouldn't even prosecute where there was overwhelming evidence that a crime was committed. Kamala Harris told those who were speaking about putting him into that office to please NOT do that. He's bad news. She was right. He had to go.
This country's being shot up, people being slaughtered by mostly right-winged nazi types, and the GQP US Taliban party is just FINE with that.
