Congressional Repugs in the House and Senate.
I really wonder how many of them took the time to watch and listen to what he said?
I don't know how anyone watching could not be moved into action by his words.
[For that matter it should be required watching for all Americans.]

(1,289 posts)Reminds me so much of my wife... she will either read or see something on the TV and say to me "everyone needs to read/listen to this!!!".
Problem being, they won't. Or worse yet, if they do, they will disagree.
In other words, ya'll cain't enlighten a dumb-azz, reich-wing, evangelical racist piece of worthless freakin' garbage to see the light. No way. But keep up your enthusiasm!

(10 posts)First, he's an actor and there is a large section of the population who won't be 'lectured at' by some 'millionaire Hollywood hotshot.' Second, it's over 20 minutes long, the attention span of the modern American is less than 5.

Come on - quit making excuses for the American People.
MMc was speaking not as a rich Hollywood actor. He was speaking as a person that grew up in Uvalde and as a parent himself. It was one of the most sincere and honest discussions of the tragedy and potential fix that can be made.
No elected Repug or Dem made as an impassioned speech about this shooting.
