Following Pastor John McTernan's blaming the gay community for Hurricane Sandy ("God is systematically destroying America" , Guardian journo Tim Dowling compiled a list of events for which people have laid the blame at the LGBT's door.
The decline in US marriage (Rick Santorum).
Last year's US earthquake (Rabbi Yehuda Levin).
9/11 (Rev. Jerry Falwell).
Hurricane Isaac (McTernan, again).
Hurricane Katrina (Pastor John Hagee, Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas).
2007 UK flooding (Rev. Graham Dow, the Bishop of Carlisle).
The Catholic Church's paedophile crisis (The Catholic League).
Colorado Batman massacre (American Family Association).
The fall of Srebrenica (blamed on "openly homosexual" Dutch peacekeeping force, by US Army General John Sheehan).
The 2008 collapse of Panama's emergency phone system (anonymous police sources).
Global warming (Samoan church ministers).
(That's more than enough ludicrous accusations. Ed.)
