I admit I have a nagging worry about someone doing something to deflect attention from the hearing

It's a worry that's been fermenting in the back of my mind, all week.

We know that Trump is furious that this is happening. Reports indicate he has demanded that republicans react strongly. Hence, Fox isn't carrying the hearing. I think that Trump will call in to one or both shows.

So far as his cult members, who knows? But the show will go on!

4. Sadly, I don't think most of the American public gives a crap about the hearings.

Why they decided to hold them in the summer just as school gets out, the first summer since covid...it makes no sense. Or, then again, maybe it does...to someone.

There's plenty to deflect from the hearings. The beach, getting out of school, graduation, the mountains, traveling, sports, barbecues, road trips, gas prices...

We may pay attention here, but we're a small minority.
