Liz Cheney epitomizes the concept of 'loyal oposition'

I absolutely do not agree with her stand on anything, but the way she has reacted to Trump's incitement of insurrection is beyond reproach. She has put concern for the rule of law above getting re-elected. There are a very small handful of other Republicans in Congress who have stood up to Trump, but none so effective. What a pleasant surprise she turned out to be.

Liz Cheney has no problem with anything Trump has done. If it was her Daddy or Jeb! they were fighting for on J6 she'd be on the steps of Congress holding a flag.

She agrees with 99% of his policies.

Liz Cheney is upset, angry and mad as hell for ONE reason.

She's upset for the SAME reason that Shrub, Bolton, Kristol and the Lincoln folks do.

Trump killed the *NeoCons movement.

Decades of work and the Republican Party had become the Party of International nation building and intervention... they took the 'hayseeds" for granted in favor of the "smart people" from Conservative Academia.

Then Trump comes along and in the span of two years, they're relegated to the dustbin of history.

Now Liz is going to be unemployed in January and her Dad's movement is 6 feet under.

Yeah of course Liz hates Trump. But not because of J6.

Trump usurped their positions (and their cash cows), so they hate him with a seething passion. Now some of them are grifting, some are trying to get out from under his movement, and others are going hard out of hatred.

Which, I'm here for taking Trump down. Whatever motivates someone to do the necessary thing in the moment.

But I don't need tweets about the Supreme Court from Steve Schmidt, the man who gave us Alito.

Trump took their power away. They weren't ever going to forget that.

Neoconservatism was a more dangerous movement.

The Trump thing is just the dregs of society being elevated in political power... it's actually pretty funny.

The public will fast become tired of the Trump shtick and hopefully leads us to a stronger and more "fair" Democratic Party that focuses on making lives better for those who are struggling and turns away from the recent trend of rubbing shoulders with billionaires.
