This explains the hard right turn that Miami Dade took. This just go viral in SoFla

Holy crap! I have struggled to understand how the GOP so quickly made gains in Miami-Dade from 2016 to 2020 but the entire Miami Dade GOP leadership has been taken over by Proud Boy thugs! Oh and Moms for Liberty are involved here. These groups supported Trump and now they support DeSantis. Please read this and pass it on. They must be exposed!! I’ve heard some talk about this the past couple days but this puts it ALL out there.

Fl has taken a sharp turn right we have our work cut out. With the new gerrymandering map and Desantis 100 million bank account it will be very very difficult this year but we can’t stop trying.

supporting 24 Republican radio stations. if desantis/gop would spend $1000 for a 1hr infomercial those 24 stations x 15 hrs/day are worth $1.8MILLION per WEEK FREE for desantis!

TB rays have been speaking out about gun reform and LGBTQ rights but i think they support 4 rw radio stations! what about other teams in florida? the 5 schools and 20 limbaugh stations is just for limbaugh stations. there are more schools and non-x-limbaugh stations involved. none have any excuse for the gun reform opposition, global warming denial, racism excuses, etc they endorse

pressure them to look for alternatives. when they do a lot of rw radio advertisers will freak out - on all stations - and other teams pro and college will have to follow. the radio ad industry will have to push stations to change format before they lose too many advertisers. when the real market demand for the racism, global warming denial, bigotry, NRA and AR15 support on those stations shrinks to 10% of what they get now the GOP in Fla is fucked.

there might be some free speech issues but those schools have no excuse for supporting global warming denial, letting their athletes be used for the 'replacement theory' anti immigrant bullshit they've been selling for 20 years to help GOP pass voter suppression.

i've heard there's a lot of spanish political talk radio now in florida too.

as soon as one school or team starts talking about it in public it's over for them - and they will freak out, making it worse

Repeat and repeat again, redundantly, over and over. Proud boys=Ku-klux-klan=GOP=DeSantis=Trump and every other gang of low-life dirtbags bred in corruption who live off perpetual yet unsustainable misallocations of your resources and strive to see your neighborhood destroyed by violence.

This is the most inept state Democratic Party in the USA. Kansas and Utah have better Democratic Parties.

And before anyone jumps on me, I volunteer for, and I am friends with, an elected Democrat in Florida. This Democrat is fairly well known statewide and freely admits that the party as whole is not organized, funded, or effective. But this person carries on.

I’m looking at data. Since 2000, Dems have only won about 6 statewide races. Obama twice, Bill Nelson HS a couple wins in 2010 and 2004, Alex Sink won CFO one time. Nikki Freid won in 2018 agriculture commissioner. That’s all. Dems haven’t won a gubernatorial election since 1994. Kansas at least elected Kathleen Sybelius. Think about that. Fuethmore, Democrats have been the minority party in the legislature since about 1996. Congressionally, GOP has had the majority in Florida for at least since 2000. We are going on almost 30 years of Republican control of this state at all levels.

The Florida Democratic Party is like the Washington Generals. They just lose and lose and lose. Except for Anna Eskamani, who EVERYONE NEEDS TO FOLLOW on all forms of social media, this party is bankrupt. Sorry if that hurts people’s feelings. Just look at the data.

I tried getting meetings moved to evenings so working people could attend. I was told that couldn’t happen because the older members didn’t see well enough to drive at night. They also weren’t able to knock doors or do most of the other things an effective party needs to do. I served on the board for a year then gave up.
