FOX ran Tucker's show WITHOUT COMMERCIAL BREAKS-because they were afraid audience would CHANNEL SURF

Heather Cox Richardson: “Pundits had speculated before tonight’s televised hearing that it would not make compelling television, but they could not have been more wrong. The Fox News Channel, some of whose personalities were involved in the events surrounding January 6, refused to air the proceedings. Nonetheless, that channel inadvertently proved just how powerful the hearing was when it ran Tucker Carlson’s show without commercial breaks, apparently afraid that if anyone began to channel surf they might be drawn in by the hearing on other channels.”

Fox can stay on the air with no commercials at all forever. Cable corporations pay it big time pwb Jun 2022 #1

He paid something like $50-80 per household to get it on the air. I’ve also read that they paid for wall mounted TVs and paid for cable at restaurants bars etc but the TVs had to be in Fox. They checked too.

Lots of red white and blue graphics and tons of T&A- he knew what he was doing

Why would they not want their viewers to see the hearing??

I think we know.

People were talking bad about Dear Leader. Oh and actual facts. That’s totally counter to their model.

refuting and attacking, doubling down with their "alternative reality," rather than ignoring.

We had Fox recording. Nothing like being an outsider watching Fox then having to spend the next hour looking up "facts" of their conspiracy narratives. Their viewers already have this stuff internalized as truth, and most no doubt find it too reassuring to risk getting angry and upset from switching over to listen to the lies. Know how they feel.

will tell FNC viewers to NOT SWITCH to a channel that’s carrying the J6 hearing when the next hearing approaches. “Don’t look! You can’t watch!” Give Trumpers a defiance-based strategic intervention.
