(35,015 posts)Only time will tell if he's praising Obama for political purposes, but his interview this morning, where he talked about the Jersey Shore boardwalk/amusement park being wiped out, and how he spent his childhood there and took his kid there made me wonder. He seemed really rattled and sincere. I won't hold my breath but maybe.

(5,436 posts)Pile 'O Crap Christie has been very upfront & vocal about his presidential aspirations since he was just a prosecutor. Every single public act he takes, or statement he makes, from now till 2016 (and probably 2020 & 2024) are put thru a filter of "Will this help me become prez?".
Right now he's doing the "see? I'm bipartisan!" act from that 666-scene play.

He will be back to his republican "fuck the people any way you can" ways, soon enough.
