Only time will tell if he's praising Obama for political purposes, but his interview this morning, where he talked about the Jersey Shore boardwalk/amusement park being wiped out, and how he spent his childhood there and took his kid there made me wonder. He seemed really rattled and sincere. I won't hold my breath but maybe.

Pile 'O Crap Christie has been very upfront & vocal about his presidential aspirations since he was just a prosecutor. Every single public act he takes, or statement he makes, from now till 2016 (and probably 2020 & 2024) are put thru a filter of "Will this help me become prez?".

Right now he's doing the "see? I'm bipartisan!" act from that 666-scene play.

it, maybe not. I do sincerely think he likes his state, and I do sincerely think he is hurt over what has happened there, what that actually translates to nobody actually knows. We've just got to be happy heckuva job Brownie isn't on the job.

But I'm not thinking that the ghost of Christmas devastation is enough to change a repuke into a decent human being.

He will be back to his republican "fuck the people any way you can" ways, soon enough.

that he really loves his state and that it's quite possible this has hit him hard. When something horrible happens, it does sometimes have a positive effect on people... even if it's only for a moment.
