Every once in a while, self-appointed arbiters of literary taste will publish a screed about how overrated "The Great Gatsby" is. And I disagree. To paraphrase something someone once said about Shakespeare's plays: The Great Gatsby really is very good, in spite of all the people who say it really is very good.
