It is a decision that must be made.
Donald Trump never respected the laws of this country. He began his presidency by ignoring the emoluments clause of the Constitution. He would continue to do business as he saw fit. The White House was a business opportunity.
There were numerous instances of obstruction of justice during the Mueller investigation. Anything that he put his greedy fingers on, he considered his own. He swindled his supporters out of hundreds of millions of dollars and it still continues.
He could have left the White House unscathed, except for his reputation. But he could not accept losing.
He had one more small crime to commit before he left: Incitement of an insurrection and attempted overthrow of our government. No big deal?
And to think that people are debating whether or not he should be prosecuted is beyond comprehension. They argue that it would only tear the country apart further, admitting that the country is already torn apart.
If we are no longer a nation of laws, then we may as well tear up the Constitution and start over. It is worthless.
There is only one decision to make.

(9,109 posts)Great post! And to any right-wing lurkers out there (at least the ones who havent chugged the MAGA-flavored or Q-Anon-flavored Kool-Aid), there is nothing in the opening post that requires you to be a Lib to believe it. This is a non-partisan issue: our republic is at stake.
