...is just pissing me off. The fact that someone who is probably financially secure is taking part in luring people into something as shady and unpredictable as crypto really bothers me. Are there other well-off celebrities doing this? Can't they afford to say NO to certain kinds of endorsements?
In short, WTF??
On edit: Just googled "Celebs endorsing crypto". Still, WTF???

(8,853 posts)...so I root for the Sixers but Embiid has always annoyed me for some reason. This CRYPTO.COM commercial really doesn't improve my impression of him.
I think hes a great player and a warrior playing through those injuries. He does have an immature side, though. I think he was drawn to Butler because of his leadership. It is not surprising to see him doing the CRYPTO commercial without realizing the consequences of promoting this currency.

(60,014 posts)my view - if it is being advertised, it is just a bunch of lies - can't be that good if someone has to pay to push it.
I am virulently anti advertising of anything!

(8,853 posts)There are plenty of worthwhile things that are advertised and are worth the money. If someone has a good product I don't think that advertising it is a bad thing. It's the shit products that are the problem.
