Sanctions are hurting Russia and it keeps getting worse.
Output in industries from
aviation to automotive has crashed. In May, the number of cars sold across Russia tumbled by 83% from the previous month, to 24,000. Rewind to May 2021 and monthly sales were nearer 150,000. Likewise, Russian plane makers are in a fix now that US, Japanese, EU and UK sanctions have blockaded the industry.

(7,725 posts)3. Once this war is over . . .
and let it be soon - Ukraine will get help from the West to rebuild.
Russia however, will be stuck with sanctions.
Hopefully the Russian people won't mind the lower standard of living coming their way as 'reward' for letting Putin ruin their economy.
Putin's legacy he leaves behind is not a good one.

I'm sure they will try to avoid it, of course.

Keep blocking auto imports to Russia so they must start buying all Russian-built POS cars.......
