Early ratings data reveals that at least 20 million people watched the 1/6 Committee hearing. Just 3 million Americans watched Fox News.
The New York Times reported on the early ratings data:
An audience of at least 20 million people watched the first prime-time hearing of the House Select Committees investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on Thursday night, according to Nielsen.
ABC attracted the biggest audience, with 5.2 million viewers. NBC and CBS each had an audience of more than three million. MSNBC averaged more than four million, and CNN drew 2.7 million. (The 20 million figure did not yet include PBS, so the total audience was most likely a bit bigger.)

(16,058 posts)Sure they lost by counting all the networks together. But Fox still beat CNN. Thats embarrassing for CNN.no?

(92,488 posts)brainwashed, that if trump confessed they wouldnt care
In other words, those viewers of faux believe the attempted insurrection and overthrow of the government was justified
They will never be convinced
Why it isnt embarrassing for CNN, is because their prime time viewers increased from their usual volume
Keep in mind that those watching CNN and the locals exceeded all the others, and that is probably good because it would probably be representative of independents
ABC had almost 5 million viewers, and all the local networbeat cable or satellite

(23,590 posts)people will be more likely to watch it than if it's just on one channel. It makes it more clear it's a huge deal.

(1,060 posts)And they are alone. Their viewers have no place else to go. If there were two or three more conservative networks like Fox the numbers would change rapidly and would show Fox for what it is.
