When hearings are over, & proven that Trump was behind the coup attempt, will he be prosecuted?

Others are being prosecuted, will Donald Trump be prosecuted for inciting a riot that killed people?
After all, inciting a riot is against the law....ain't it?

It was reported last night that he was watching the Hearings. For what it is worth.

It's necessary. Prosecuting Trump is as political a statement as not prosecuting Trump. Fear of reprisal or of angering his throngs would be cowardly and antithetical to democratic principles.

Prosecuting Trump would force the MAGA crowd to actually watch the news for once and escape their bubble. That's more important than Trump himself. Right wingers have been drawn into a fantasy world in which owning the liberals is their entertainment and facts are optional. Unless this bubble is burst - and prosecuting and convicting Trump would assuredly serve that end - we will lose the battle of propaganda, which is ultimately our most vulnerable weakness.

He needs to pay! But given his age and our division, its not for certain. However, the trumpsters must finally be made realize how much he has conned them. That's what the Committee needs to do for this country ultimately.

Conspiracy to defraud the US and/or Obstruction of an official proceeding are the most likely charges, Seditious Conspiracy is also possible, but somewhat less likely.
