Do they say they love America, do they think it’s just a piece of real estate?

minorities, liberals, educated and recent immigrants simply don't count as 'murkans. Easy to love when it's only your group

Annette' Benning's character asks this question to the President, portrayed by Michael Douglas:

"This isn't about me. How can you keep quiet? How do you have patience for people who claim they love America, but clearly can't stand Americans?"

The movie's screenplay was written by Aaron Sorkin.

anyone not like themselves.

To admit others may be “patriotic” besides themselves would mean there is a common bond. And, that common bond is not acceptable as they are brainwashed into thinking they are superior and to accept a commonality would be unbearable.

It’s a base division the RW loves to exploit for much needed votes.

14. I grew up in the South and I can tell you this about loyalty.

Most Southerners are loyal to their churches and their local and immediate families. Their aunts, uncles and cousins who live some distance away or who they see once a year or so? Not so much. They are loyal to those with whom they formed social bonds in middle school and/or high school. Anyone outside those few spheres of influence are viewed with suspicion. It's pure tribal behavior.
