The Republican Party is on trial today, literally speaking...
..because almost everyone of them has defended the "Big Lie" or remained silent as it was spread.
How many stood up and said what they knew was the truth?
It was not to their political advantage to tell the truth so they stuck with the Big Lie, knowing it was dangerous and harmful to our democracy.
Just yesterday, Kevin McCarthy was asked if Joe Biden won the election and the best he could do was to say that "Joe Biden is the President". He refused to answer the question that was asked of him.
But, McCarthy is not alone. The entire Party adopted the policy of saying nothing or going along with the Big Lie.
The American people will have to be the judge and jury in this trial.
