and I get what you mean.
Everybody wants to be the first to post the funny line so DU gets flooded with pointless threads without any context. Even if you know it's about the hearings, you still have no idea what the thread is referring to.

Further, there's a general thread for the hearings. These kind of threads that only repeat a sentence from the hearings should have been a comment in the general thread.

of those toy parrots that pick up human voices and repeat it back? If they’re all turned on, some will pick up a word and repeat it, triggering others to do the same. Soon it’s utter chaos, the sound becoming more unintelligible with each iteration. Eventually, it’ll die down as the squawks become even too bizarre for the toy parrots to bother. We never reach that point here, choosing to repeat words or phrases that are so tangentially connected to anything meaningful that hardly anyone catches the reference or comprehends the context.
